I am Junior Zabron — a Horticulture student at City College Mwanza, proving that agriculture is the future of our nation.
Pictured here with Madam Zabibu Urassa — Director of City College Mwanza, a visionary leader in education and youth development.
A journey shaped by resilience, passion, and an unshakable belief in the power of modern agriculture.
I come from a humble background. I was raised by both of my parents until I reached Form Two. Then life changed — my parents separated. From that day, my mother became the sole provider for me and my younger sibling.
We faced many challenges. Yet through every difficulty, I held onto hope and hard work. Today I am proud to be a Horticulture student at City College Mwanza, dedicated to transforming agriculture in Tanzania.
Where I am today: Learning and working hands-on in modern greenhouses, gaining practical skills, and building a better future through farming — one plant, one opportunity at a time.
Why I wake up every day with a burning passion to transform agriculture in Tanzania.
To teach people modern farming methods and grow Tanzania's agriculture sector by creating real opportunities for young people like me. Through knowledge and practical skills, we can reduce unemployment and build stronger communities.
By 2030, I see a Tanzania where modern agriculture systems are strong, education about smart farming reaches every corner of the country, and young people proudly choose farming as a path to success and national development.
Agriculture is the backbone of Tanzania. It contributes about 80% to our national income and feeds our people. When we invest in modern farming, we invest in the future of our nation and create jobs for the next generation.
🌟 I warmly congratulate Her Excellency President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her visionary leadership and continued efforts to improve the agriculture sector, including providing loans to students studying agriculture at City College Mwanza Campus and other colleges across our country.
Her dedication to empowering the youth through agriculture is an inspiration to us all.
"Agriculture is not just a job — it is the future of Tanzania."
